After days of demonstrations in Los Angeles, protests are growing nationwide in opposition to President Donald Trump’s ongoing immigration raids. At the Kennedy Center, the president again defended his decision to call in the National Guard and Marines to L.A. despite objections from local officials. “If we weren’t there, we didn’t bring in the national and the Marines, then you would probably have a city that was burning to the ground,” he says. NBC’s Liz Kreutz reports for TODAY.
