Business owner sues insurance company over roof damage claim

Martin Goebel says a storm in 2021 damaged the roof of his St. Louis furniture business but that his insurance company won’t pay enough to repair it and cover the damages to his equipment inside. The insurer has pushed back saying there are questions over what caused the damage and now the two sides are headed to court. NBC News’ Christine Romans reports in our series “The Cost of Denial.”
