Schumer calls for increased Capitol Police fund following Minnesota shootings

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., called for an increase in funding for U.S. Capitol Police following the shootings of two Minnesota state lawmakers. Schumer also called on President Donald Trump to ask Sen. Mike Lee, R-Utah, to take down posts on X that he said were “disgusting” reactions to the shootings.
